About Us
Meetings
We
have locally and nationally known guest speakers, in-house programs, demonstrations
of quilting techniques and business meetings. We usually do a "Show
and Tell," where members bring finished quilts and works in progress
to share with the guild. It also provides the opportunity to discuss problems
with other quilters.
There will be a $3.00 parking charge per car in the parking lot, Lot A
(see directions below). The guild will subsidize $1.00 of this fee. If
you are on Medicare, the fee is $2.00. There is also free parking in the
EMPLOYEES PARKING LOT (see directions below) in the back of the Hospital.
It is a long, winding walk to the meeting room, but great exercise.
Karoline Wallace will have the tickets
for purchase at each meeting. Of course, there is also free parking
in the employees lot if you prefer (see below).
Directions to Lankenau Hospital
From
the North:
Take I-95 South to Philadelphia. Exit I-95 onto I-676/76 West in Philadelphia.
Exit I-76 onto City Avenue, and turn right at the bottom of the ramp.
Travel several miles South on Route 1 (City Line Avenue) to the intersection
of Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue). Turn right onto Lancaster Avenue to the
first traffic light. The hospital will be on your left.
From the South:
Take I-95 North. Exit I-95 onto I-476 North. Exit I-476 at the Route
1 Exit. Follow Route 1 North several miles to Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue).
Turn left on Route 30 (West) to first traffic light. The hospital will
be on your left.
From the East/West:
Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike to the Valley Forge Interchange (Exit
326). Exit onto I-76 East. Follow to Route 1 Exit (City Line Avenue).
Exit South onto Route 1, follow for several miles to Route 30 (Lancaster
Avenue). Turn right (West) onto Route 30 to first traffic light. The hospital
will be on your left.

FROM PARKING LOT A:
Upon parking in Lot
A, enter thru the doorway to the left of the handicapped parking on the
main level. As you drive in, looking for a parking spot, look for either
a purple balloon or a Heartstrings member. They will be at the door, directing
you in. You are entering on the Ground level. Turn right and take the
elevator to the Basement level.
FROM EMPLOYEES PARKING LOT:
The Employees Parking
Lot is in the back of the building. Enter thru “B” Building.
You will pass the Apothecary on your right. Continue straight thru the
Ground floor to Building A, looking for signs to the Cafeteria (A7). Continue
past the cafeteria and make a right to the elevator. Take either elevator
to the Basement level.
