From the President

Spring is just around the corner, and with that, Quilter’s Heritage Celebration, Art Quilts at the Sedgwick, another guest speaker and our annual potluck in June. The year has flown by. It has been an exciting year for Suzan and me to have served as your Presidents. We have enjoyed the friendship and talent of this group. It is heartening to see how Heartstrings has grown, with our new members adding their viewpoints and sharing their gorgeous quilts with us. Quilting has seen a resurgence of popularity with this fabric medium pushing the envelope into the world of art. The fabric manufacturers have heard our voices and offer us a bounty of color and design to satisfy each and every fabriholic. When you can’t find the perfect fabric in the stores, the Internet offers a variety of sites for every taste. It’s almost like magic, being able to shop in your PJ’s and have UPS deliver it! How easy they are making our lives, giving us more time for quilting.
