November Program

“Art Quilts that Pluck the Heartstrings” is the name of a slide lecture put together by Eleanor Levie just for us. We will see the work of a range of internationally renowned fiber artists, all contemporary pioneers in their innovative materials and techniques. Each of these pieces makes a riveting personal or political statement, and their images will touch our hearts — and occasionally, our funnybones!

Eleanor Levie is an author and editor who produced the Rodale Successful Quilting Library series and many other books on quilts and quilting. She is currently writing American Quiltmaking: 1970-2000, which will be published by AQS in Spring 2004.
