From the President
It's hard to believe that
I've been president of the Heartstring Quilters Guild for a year, but it's true.
And what a year it's been. We held our first successful quilting retreat and
hopefully, it will be the start of a yearly tradition. We voted to move from
our original meeting place at he Presbyterian Church of the Covenant to the
Bala Cynwyd Methodist Church. Our membership has grown to our limit - 50 active
members in all. And, sadly, one of our longtime members and dear friends, Kathie
Harrington, left us much too soon.
Changes and growth...and now we're ready for more. We have so many new members with so much positive energy that I know our guild will just keep getting better. It's been a privilege to be president of this talented and eclectic group. Thank you for all the help and support you have all given me over the past year.
Elections will be held at the June Potluck. Don't be shy about steppig forward even if you're a newbie or if you haven't served on a committee before. It's the best way to get to know everyone in the guild. New people in officer and committee positions will make sure that our group remains the vital and growing organization that we have come to love.
See you at the potluck,
Janet
