Quilting News

Judy Fliegelman reports:

After losing my African fabrics to Marcy during our Chinese Auction (smile), I got on the internet and found a fabulous site for authentic African fabrics. I ordered a pack of fat quarters and was very pleased with them. www.CulturedExpressions.com.

Soryl writes from Japan:

Just a wee postcard to my friends at Heartstrings from Kyoto Japan. It is all I had hoped it would be and more. There is beautiful fabric everywhere and the people in this city are kind and helpful. Try to get here for the 25th of any month when there is an extraordinary flea market on the grounds of one of the many Buddist temples. Kimono and fabric are at every second vendor and prices are beyond belief - $7 for a used kimono. Don't go there on your first day (as I did) because it is overwhelming. Too many lost opportunities. I will bring some of our new treasures (but not as many as there would have been without jetlag) for Show and Tell. See you at the next meeting. Sayonara. Soryl
