Heartstings January Workshop/Retreat

The workshop with Debbie is scheduled on Sunday, January 25 from 8:30 am until 3. We have the room until 5:00 so you can stay and continue sewing, if desired. The cost is $20.00/person which includes the room and lunch plus a $5 kit fee, payable that day. We will be holding this at the Marriott in Conshohocken. The parking is free, and we have the room closest to the parking lot with an entrance right outside our room. This will make it easier to bring in our machines. I would advise that those of us who are coffee drinkers to stop at the Wawa directly across the street to pick up a cup of coffee, as we did not purchase coffee service from the hotel. Please bring extension cords and power stips. If you need extra lighting, please bring your task light.

Please reconfirm with either Robin or Suzan that you will be attending.

I assume there will be some car pooling if needed.

Hexagons: A Perennial Favorite (by Deborah Schwartzman)
After a short introduction revisiting my hexagon based quilts, participants will machine piece a hexagon flower learning all the steps and intricacies of this technique. You will also add freeform curved piecing to your design vocabulary and sewing skills. Note: Previous knowledge and experience paper piecing is necessary to participate in this workshop. In the afternoon there are two options: to continue working on your flower or to play with the design of our own hexagon based flower which could ultimately become a quilt.

Below is a list of supplies for Deborah Schwartzman's workshop. In addition a kit will be provided with the flower pattern, design materials, and a handout of instructions.
