From the President

Many, many thanks and kudos to Robin, Suzan and Debby for the 1st Annual Heartstring Quilters Retreat. Everyone had a great time and we all learned a lot. The main goal of a successful workshop was realized - we all tried something new that we probably wouldn't try on our own. I'm sure that we all brought away a new bit of learning that we can adapt to our own styles. I can't wait for next year!

The president of the Philadelphia Guild of Hand Weavers, Pam Pawl, has requested a newsletter swap between our guilds. I just received a copy of their February newsletter and I will bring it to our next meeting. They are having their 49th Annual Exhibit at the Sedgwick Cultural Center in March. It is called "Fiber by Fiber" and it will run from March 2 - March 28. There is also a series of speakers scheduled to speak throughout the run of the show. The topics are of interest to all artists - not just weavers - and I wil bring copies of the speakers' schedule to distribute.

And finally, don't forget to come to the United Methodist Church of Bala Cynwyd at 314 Levering Mill Road for the February 13 meeting. Please bring the new address and your patience as we meet and work out the "bugs" that we are bound to face as we relocate.
