February Meeting Minutes

Robin opened the meeting and we listened to the sad news that Sherri Dunbar died of a stroke on Wednesday, Feb., 11. We talked about how to remember Sherri and will talk more next meting. The family requested that donations be sent to:

It was also reported that Bonnie Atwood had a new knee received during surgery that day. Joanne will let us know what we can do for Bonnie and her family

*The church asked if we would like to present a short program on quilts/quilting at their Sunday evening activity meeting. Jim will get more information and report back to us.

* Karoline Wallace said she is working on getting the web site in order and will let us know when everything will be ready.

Show and Tell
1. Susan Soiferman showed a beautiful Gridlock Quilt done in varying shades of beige, browns and creams.

2. Jim showed us a great 90 x 90 queen size quilt done in blues.

3. Kirsten Chalfen brought an example of modular knitting. Done square by square and then knitted together.

4. Marcy George showed a wedding quilt made with bouquets and bow ties. She calls it “Marriage Rocks My World”

5. Renee Neibauer showed some Shibori Scarves, silks and tie-dyed

6. Mary also showed pieces done by tie dying, stamped and pleated.
