the Allentown Quilt Guild Is Proud to Announce Three Workshops with Famed Quilt Personality Billie Lauder

The Allentown Quilt Guild would like to invite you, your friends, and your guild to participate in any of our
three upcoming workshops or evening lecture with nationally known quilt artist, teacher, and author Billie
Lauder. Join us for three days of laughs and learning as we experience one of Billie’s famed Mystery
Quilts, Learn her Loop-de-Loop Bargello quilting style, or watch a fascinating demonstration of the techniques
in her Quick Quilt Tricks book.

Come solve the Case of the Spinning Star on Monday May 3 from 8:30 to 3:30 pm. This is one of Billie's
famous Mystery quilts. It is appropriate for beginners to intermediate quilters. Billie promises this is
one of her best mysteries and sure to be a lot of fun and you will produce a two value quilt in any of three
sizes you choose. The cost of this 6 hour class will be $45.00.

The planned Bargello Quilt Workshop originally scheduled for May 4 is being canceled in favor of a SECOND
MYSTERY QUILT! So...please tell all your friends and guild members to sign up for THE CASE
OF THE QUILTER’S DILEMMA with Billie on Tuesday May 4 from 8:30 to 3:30. This class will cost
$45. The quilt will be 60" square, have 13 clues and a bonus solution. Several of Billie's Quick Quilt Tricks
will be taught to finish this quilt including quick four patch and split half square triangles. The class will be
a lot of fun and create a colorful quilt with at least three colors.

Finally...Come and learn Billie's Quick Quilt Tricks on Wednesday May 5 from 8:30 to 12:30. This class
will be a demonstration only, so bring your notebooks and cameras! Billie will go through her book, "Quick
Quilt Tricks" page by page and you will learn astounding shortcuts for creating two four patches at a time,
half square triangles, quarter square triangles, shaded four patches, four flying geese units at a time, reflections
block, delectable mountains block, and others. The cost for this 3 hour class will be $25.00. The book
"Quick Quilt Tricks" is required for this class and is available though our guild for $13.00 at wholesale
with no shipping.
